SCHOOL ASSISTANT WORKSHOP for staff in mainstream Primary School, and Special Education all ages

This workshop is suitable for SSO/School Assistants working with primary students and special education all ages,
in mainstream, special units, special classes and special schools across the 3 education sectors in South Australia. The workshop will provide School Assistants with skills and strategies to promote learning and positive behaviour in students with special learning needs, within the context of the SSO role. It is interactive with a practical focus and learning outcomes will include:

  • Developing an understanding of Best Practice for working with students with special learning needs
  • Skill building for developing participants’ own practice
  • Skill building for session delivery with students
  • Developing and using resources to meet individual student curriculum goals
  • Gaining an understanding of what can be achieved within the context of the SSO role

*Participants will be provided with free resources to use with students
