This workshop is intended for those who want to strengthen their own skills based practice so that they can build independence and a love of learning in children with individual learning differences in the unique and privileged situation of side by side or 1:1, rather than the classroom setting.
This workshop will provide information about:
- Identifying Auditory Processing and Working Memory difficulties
- The link between AP and WM and many identifiable learning difficulties and disabilities
- Gathering base-line data and working from there to make a real difference
- Strategies and skills to teach in a 1:1 setting to develop independent learner skills
Learning outcomes for this workshop include:
- Skills to identify a child with Auditory Processing and Working Memory difficulties
- Skills to identify, using evidence-based assessments, explicit skill levels and gaps in learning
- Explicit skills and strategies to support children with a range of learning differences
- Confidence to deliver effective, targeted and progressive 1:1 skill-based intervention.
